The Marion Independent School Foundation & Alumni Association has been privileged to receive volunteer support from Jill Law. Jill likes to keep busy in her retirement after being a Circulation Services Supervisor at the Marion Public Library for over 20 years.

Marion Independent School Foundation & Alumni Association

How long have they volunteered with this/these organization(s)? 1 year

Why does this volunteer deserve to be recognized with a 50 Faces of Volunteers spotlight?

Operating with two part-time staff, Jill’s additional time with the Foundation has helped the organization accomplish so much more this year. Jill has assisted with many projects including teacher appreciation bags, the annual golf outing, and arranging display cases for class reunion tours. She has even brought other community volunteers with her to help. She has been the greatest resource in updating the database so the Foundation can better stay in touch with alumni, school staff, parents and local businesses. When Jill is not helping at the Foundation office she is busy volunteering with Horizon’s Summer Meals, Meals on Wheels, Big Brothers Big Sisters, sitting on the Board of Churches for the Marion Food Pantry, and multiple activities at Marion Christian Church. The Foundation is grateful for her skills, expertise, and time that she has donated.
