50 Faces of Volunteers – Jacob Alstadt

Tell us a little about the volunteer : Jacob is a senior at the University of Dubuque student studying Criminal Justice and English. His also has interest in literature, politics, and philosophy. He plans to attend law school after taking a year off from academics. He is currently interested in pursuing work in criminal, civil, and/or immigration law.

What is the primary (one or two) organization(s) they serve? Iowa Legal Aid

How long have they volunteered with this/these organization(s)? Will be volunteering throughout his entire last semester in Dubuque

Why does this volunteer deserve to be recognized with a 50 Faces of Volunteers spotlight? Jacob has been working in the Iowa Legal Aid office for a couple months, however, he has held on to the mission of Iowa Legal Aid by being an advocate of dignity, encouraging hope and prosperity, and working until justice is served. He continues to bring a different dynamic to the Dubuque office and deserves to be commended for his work.
