50 Faces of Volunteers – Eileen Moos

Nominated by Pam Skelton, His Hands Free Clinic, Cedar Rapids

Tell us a little about the volunteer:

Eileen is a wife, mother and grandmother. She is devoted to her family but she has still found time to volunteer at His Hands Free Clinic as a receptionist for over 443 hours in the past 9 months. She became a volunteer at the clinic because she saw a need and wanted to see that need filled. That is what Eileen does. She is ready to help whenever and however she can. Often that even means purchasing Bibles and resource materials to be given as gifts to the clients at the clinic. Eileen sees the impact of her service when clients remember how they were served and cared for while at His Hands Free Clinic. She likes to share her positive experience as a volunteer while training new volunteers joining the clinic and whenever she is asked by others where she volunteers.

What is the primary (one or two) organization(s) they serve?

His Hands Free Clinic for 4 years

Why does this volunteer deserve to be recognized with a 50 Faces of Volunteers spotlight?

Eileen has already volunteered for over 443 hours this year! She has become a familiar face to clients and other volunteers. She is positive, helpful, hard working, and has become invaluable to the smooth operation of the clinic. If there is a need and Eileen hears of it, you can be sure she will act to meet that need. She is an above and beyond volunteer!
